Leveraging Education Portals in Your Dealer Incentive Programs

Education Portals can serve as an excellent platform for communicating critical information about your offerings.

Frankly it can be hard to keep employees and channel partners (such as distributors or dealers) fully informed about your products and services, and your critical points of difference.  But the simple fact is the more they know, the better they can sell your products.  Education portals can also build loyalty to you as a trusted and valued partner.

Education portals can be simple or more complex, depending on your business needs.  Some employee education programs, and particularly corporate wellness programs, can be fairly extensive, with participation-focused goals, quarterly goals, multi-language execution, and flexible rewards.  Other programs, such as channel partner programs, can focus on industry best practices as well as information on your products and services.

A well-designed education portal communicates your key information in an easy-to-consumer way.  Education material can take the form of online portal material such as videos or print materials.   One approach to help drive engagement is to ask participants to take a quiz or survey after viewing the content; points can be earned if 80% of the questions are answered correctly, with the ability to lock quizzes after a certain number of unsuccessful attempts.

The best education portals enable admins to keep education material fresh and relevant.  Admins can directly add or replace messages using a content management system.   Admins should be able to view content elements for specific website pages and sections, and make changes as needed.
